Euro 2008 Netherlands vs Italy Predictions Contest

  • Author: Admin
  • Date: Jun 8,2008

In the second match of Group C, Holland will meet the World Champions, Italy. As I have said in my previous post, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to bet on Group C matches unless he likes adrenaline. This match can stand for a final anytime and anywhere, both of the teams have top quality players, able to make the difference.

This is the match where the dutch total football concept meets the conservative italian style. Italy comes from a pretty fair qualifying campaign while Holland had a not so successful one. Still the dutch have a mature and solid team capable to go all the way to the finals.

Our tip for Netherlands – Italy is 1x , most probably a draw. You may also want to play “under 2,5″ as I don’t think there will be many goals.

You can still participate in our predictions contest – just post your prediction in the comments area. Here are the tipster rankings so far. Please read our contest rules before participating.

Netherlands - Italy

  • 1 (Netherlands) (40%, 31 Votes)
  • 2 (Italy) (32%, 25 Votes)
  • x (Draw) (28%, 22 Votes)

Total Voters: 78

I guess nobody saw it coming… neither did I and I knew Holland had a good all-roud team, with a lot potential.. only history told me they always failed to materialize..

somehow they pulled it off and did even better.. credit to the Netherlands’ team, they deserve it, they won it, fair and square..

@ I guess – If you read my post you will notice that my prediction was 1x (Netherlands to win or draw). I was expecting them to get a good result against Italy. Also I have tipped Holland and Romania to go through this group. Italy and France have a lot of big names but only a few footballers, if you understand what I mean…
