A few Ligue 1 tips:
1. Lille – Sochaux 1
2. Grenoble – Valenciennes 1
3. Marseille – Bordeaux 1x

France – Italy can be considered as the re-play of the last World Cup final. The world champions and the runners up meet in a totally different situation this time. Both of the teams are sitting at the bottom of Group C while the outsiders are in the first two positions so far.
They also played in the same qualifying group which means the players should know each other very well. Each of the teams need to win providing the fact that Romania will loose against Holland in order to qualify for QF’s.
The italians seems to be slightly better, slightly more active and more creative than the french that’s why I think Italy should win this one. I will also consider a draw between the two for the sake of placing a safe bet.
Our tip for France – Italy is x2

Netherlands comes after a historical victory against Italy and they proved to be one of the most entertaining teams at Euro. The impressive display in the previous match should only give them a fantastic moral boost for the coming matches.
France never had any chance against a very well organized romanian team and they seemed to be happy with a goaless draw. The trouble is that from now on they will need at least a victory so they will probably do their best against Holland. If Henry will be fit enough to play that should be a great plus in their ofensive.
Our tip for Netherlands – France is 1x

Here we go…Group C, “The Group of Death” – the most interesting group of this tournament and at the same time the most risky and difficult to bet on.
Romania and France will start the show, two latin countries with a pretty similar style of play. France has a lot of top quality individualities while Romania is stronger as a team. We will see if the individual class of the french players will make the difference or who knows…perhaps the omogenity and unity of the romanians.
France comes after a not so brilliant qualifying campaign while Romania did their best to finish top of their group ahead of Netherlands. As I said both of the teams play a pretty similar football, fast and creative – the latin style.
Personally I wouldn’t recommend anyone to place a bet on any of the Group C matches unless he likes adrenaline. All four teams are pretty close and everything will be decided by the matchday form of the players.
Our tip for Romania – France is x2 .
Normally the experience of the french players should be a plus but you’ll never know. Close match, once again – not recommended for betting. Perhaps “under 2,5″ will be the best way to bet.

France finished their last friendly match against Colombia, ahead of Euro 2008 with a 1-0 victory. The goal was scored by Ribery from a penalty kick earned by Henry who played his 100th match for the french national team.
It wasn’t such a quality match especially with the french players trying to protect themselves from eventual injuries. France was a bit more active in the first half while Colombia came out stronger at half time and unlucky Juan Carlos Escobar hit the post for the colombians.
Patrick Vieira was still injured but he was confident on his chances to participate at this Euro. He also said the injury is only a “small muscle tear” so hopefully we will see Vieira on the pitch during the euro matches.

France finished second their qualifying group 3 points behind Italy and 2 points ahead Scotland. I wouldn’t say they had a great qualifying campaign being quite lucky to be at Euro.
Still France is a football super power and they have their chances to go through the group of death where they will have to play against Italy, Holland and Romania.
Here is the full french squad. Please note that Patrick Vieira might be replaced with Flamini if the french skipper won’t be able to come back from injury.
