A few good matches in Serie A this weekend:
1. Milan – Fiorentina 1 (1x)
Adrian Mutu is injured for Fiorentina which means their offensive it is weaker. Of course they have Gilardino but still…Milan is such a strong team and I don’t think they’ll loose this match. You can play it 1 (1.40 at SportingBet) or for your piece of mind you can play it at 1x with a pretty good 1.10.
2. Catania – Bologna 1x
3. Lecce – Genoa 1
Good luck!
The World Champions, Italy will meet Spain in the last quarterfinal. Spain played some excellent football this tournament while Italy had some rather modest evolutions. However the italians are still a force in football and they might have the skills to beat the spanish team.
I expect a top match from two top teams for a place in the semifinals against the latest surprise, Russia.
Our tip for Spain – Italy is 1

France – Italy can be considered as the re-play of the last World Cup final. The world champions and the runners up meet in a totally different situation this time. Both of the teams are sitting at the bottom of Group C while the outsiders are in the first two positions so far.
They also played in the same qualifying group which means the players should know each other very well. Each of the teams need to win providing the fact that Romania will loose against Holland in order to qualify for QF’s.
The italians seems to be slightly better, slightly more active and more creative than the french that’s why I think Italy should win this one. I will also consider a draw between the two for the sake of placing a safe bet.
Our tip for France – Italy is x2

In the third match of Group C, Italy will play Romania. The world champions are coming after a painful defeat against the dutch and sit at the bottom of the group so far with 0 points. If they will loose this match then the qualifying chances are next to zero – that’s why I think the italians will try to give their best on the pitch.
On the other hand Romania had a tough match against France and to be honest I was quite impressed with their defence. Even if they didn’t show much in attack let’s not forget they scored quite a lot of goals in their qualifying campaign so I thinl the defensive tactics against France didn’t get them the chance to shine in atack.
While Italy really needs to win, Romania will be probably happy with a draw – keeping their dream alive. That’s why I believe this is going to be a 1,x,2 match. Just think the italians will be forced to attack and a romanian counteratack might be lethal…
Our tip for Italy – Romania is 1x but also a x2 is very much probable if the romanians can speculate the gaps in the italian defence.

In the second match of Group C, Holland will meet the World Champions, Italy. As I have said in my previous post, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to bet on Group C matches unless he likes adrenaline. This match can stand for a final anytime and anywhere, both of the teams have top quality players, able to make the difference.
This is the match where the dutch total football concept meets the conservative italian style. Italy comes from a pretty fair qualifying campaign while Holland had a not so successful one. Still the dutch have a mature and solid team capable to go all the way to the finals.
Our tip for Netherlands – Italy is 1x , most probably a draw. You may also want to play “under 2,5″ as I don’t think there will be many goals.

Italy managed to qualify for Euro from a though group where they had to play against France, Scotland and Ukraine and if the qualifying group wasn’t strong enough they are now part of “The Group of Death” together with France, Holland and Romania.
This is certainly the most interesting group to watch at this Euro. I think any of the four teams have their chances and it will only depend on the matchday form.
Italian squad:
1 Gianluigi Buffon
2 Christian Panucci
3 Fabio Grosso
4 Giorgio Chiellini
5 Fabio Cannavaro

10 Daniele De Rossi
11 Antonio Di Natale
12 Marco Borriello
13 Massimo Ambrosini
14 Marco Amelia
